Beyma CD1S Compression Driver

The Beyma CD1S is a lightweight and efficient 1” exit compression driver designed for high-frequency clarity and integration flexibility. Featuring a 1” diameter voice coil made from ultra-light edgewound aluminum ribbon, the CD1S delivers fast transient response and low harmonic distortion. The PM-4 polymer diaphragm ensures natural tonal reproduction across its 2 – 20 kHz frequency range. Despite its compact size, this driver offers 60 W program power handling above 2.5 kHz and a sensitivity of 106 dB (1W/1m). It provides excellent performance for small-format sound systems, distributed audio, or budget-conscious applications that require high-frequency detail without sacrificing space or efficiency. The CD1S includes a ceramic magnet motor structure delivering a flux density of 1.5 T and a Bl factor of 4.6 N/A. It is housed in a compact 73 mm diameter body, just 65 mm deep, and utilizes a standard 1” 3/8 thread mount—compatible with most commercial horns. With a net weight of only 0.6 kg, the CD1S is an ideal choice for lightweight enclosures, line arrays, or portable systems where space and weight are limited, but high-fidelity high-frequency performance is still essential.
