Its construction uses tinned copper foil combined with paper in oil and a proprietary WPIO dielectric, making it a premium choice for demanding capacitors in audio signal paths.

The CAST construction process is central to this capacitor’s performance. The WPIO dielectric requires several days of impregnation under high pressure, creating a form with exceptional damping properties. A ring of hard-pressed paper further strengthens the mechanical damping, helping the capacitor maintain stability in precision crossover components and other sensitive audio applications.

Duelund’s design builds on the Virtual Stack Foil principle, created to minimize losses, distortion and microphonics.
