Jantzen Audio 000-5215 | 0,50 mH | 0,06 Ω | 3% | 15 AWG | Iron Core Coil with Discs

The Jantzen Audio 000-5215 iron core coil is a meticulously engineered crossover component that ensures impeccable sound quality for your audio system, particularly in the bass and mid sections. It features a 0.50mH inductance level with an exceptionally low DCR of 0.06 Ω, preserving the damping factor of drivers and maintaining high efficiency. The coil is wound with 15 AWG high-purity copper wire around a Permite core and discs, delivering a combination of low hysteresis and high power handling capabilities. Unlike ferrite core coils, this iron core coil with discs significantly reduces hysteresis, which is crucial for maintaining audio fidelity. The 3% inductance tolerance indicates precision manufacturing, ensuring consistent performance across different units. This coil is generally recommended for the bass and mid-range sections of speakers’ crossovers, where its design can handle substantial power determined by core/disc size and wire thickness. Integrating the Jantzen Audio 000-5215 into your crossover setup will contribute to a clear, dynamic, and responsive audio experience.
