Jantzen Audio 000-5363 | 8,0 mH | 0,56 Ω | 3% | 18 AWG | Iron Core Coil with Discs

Designed for the audiophile seeking to enhance their audio system’s crossover network, the Jantzen Audio 000-5363 iron core coil is an exceptional choice for bass and mid-section applications. With an 8.0 mH inductance and a precise 3% tolerance, this coil maintains the purity of the audio signal, ensuring an accurate reproduction of the original recording. The low direct current resistance (DCR) of just 0.56 Ω ensures minimal impact on the driver’s damping factor, keeping the efficiency of the system intact. High-purity 18 AWG copper wire is meticulously wound around a Permite core with discs, delivering a crisp and clear sound by reducing electrical losses. The non-ferrite core material significantly lowers hysteresis compared to traditional ferrite cores, and simultaneously allows for higher power handling. Although primarily recommended for the bass and mid sections of speaker crossovers, its superior build quality and materials make it a versatile component in any high-fidelity audio setup. The power handling capability is determined by the core/disc size and wire thickness, providing a robust and reliable performance in your audio system.
